But not too much time. It may be tempting to kick it into high gear and only focus on the job hunt… But don’t. You’ll drive yourself crazier than Britney Spears circa 2007.

 

5. Get creative with your job search.

Sure, career listings can be super helpful, but a lot of jobs get snapped up the old fashioned way, long before they make it to the internet. Keep your LinkedIn profile up to date, do some digging into best places to work, and don’t give up. Just because one channel fails you doesn’t mean the next one will.

 

6. Make a schedule.

Being unemployed isn’t an excuse to eat junk food and sleep all day. Make yourself wake up at a human hour and do things other than lay in bed. Your sanity depends on it.
