Back in high school, one of my teammates used to use another teammate as “bait” on her new boyfriends. She’d ask them to flirt, try to get a phone number, etc., and then report back to her. If the guy walked away, she kept dating him, if he showed interest, she dumped him (the teammate was always someone the guy hadn’t met yet). Pretty underhanded/insecure.

My girlfriend at the time started a fake profile on OkCupid to test me and see if I’d agree to a hookup with this fake girl. Yes, I was an a**hole and had a bunch of dating profiles and fell for it. She broke up with me shortly after.

Boyfriend of about a year told me he could never be with a girl who didn’t love his car as much as he loved it. I told him I hated his stupid car because it had leather seats and no a/c and I was sick of driving around in the summer sweaty and uncomfortable. He was furious and marched away saying he was finished with me and I can’t appreciate the finer things in life. Later he called me crying saying that he still loved me but needed me to apologize for what I said about his car. He may have been drunk. We broke up. Bullet dodged.
