19 People Got Fired On Day One of the Job

Had trouble getting out of bed. Literal, physical trouble. There was no energy to move my limbs to overcome gravity. I called to let them know I was sick because the phone was the only thing I could manage. I was told thanks but no thanks. Turns out I had Lyme disease bad. Wasn’t caught for another half year. Now I’m permanently disabled with nerve damage and bad joints on top of whatever neurological damage. I understood it, it just sucked at the time.

One of my nannies (when I was a little girl) was fired the first day of work. She asked my mother if she could go to her house for crayons, and since she lived a few blocks away of our house, mom said ok. One hour passed and she did not came back, so mom went to the house of the nanny, and saw her drinking tea with her mother. She did not even bother to apologize. Mom told her to never come back, but the nanny did not understand what she did wrong, so she came back next day and sat in front of our door. Mom told her to leave and she never came back.

One of my first jobs was a cashier at CVS. On literally my first day working, an extremely good looking girl comes in to buy a pack of cigarettes. She looked about 20 years old, but I asked for an I.D. anyways. She said something like, oh crap I forgot it at my friends house or something. I literally thought to myself, what’s the chances she’s an undercover shopper on my first day? Well, the second she walked out a cop walked in. Had an awkward talk with the cop and then was fired.
