These 21 Friendships Suffered Falling Out’s That Were Beyond Fixable

One friend of mine, well we were best friends and were part of a group. We met in college, freshman year. One of the people in our group ended up being my boyfriend. Long, long story short… My boyfriend and I got into a fight and broke up. A few days later I find out that she went with him for Thanksgiving to her parents home…road trip and everything. I felt almost betrayed, and weirded out. So things went downhill from there. That friendship ended horribly.

She stopped hanging out with me when my boyfriend and I moved in together. I kept asking her to hang out but she always had some excuse – usually no money – but then I’d see she was out with other people at bars and restaurants. In the past year I have seen her maybe 5 times when we used to hang out at least every weekend.

I lost one of my best friends a little less than a year ago. My friend had always been religious but a few months after beginning to date this one guy, she became really evangelical and decided that i needed to be saved (I was brought up Jewish). Things got awkward and she became someone I couldn’t relate to anymore and I couldn’t be friends with someone who couldn’t respect and accept who I am. For a while we tried to be friendly but about a month ago I got fed up with her boyfriend’s disrespect towards other religions and I sent a message to her and her boyfriend. Their replies pretty much sealed the deal.

Best friend of a decade since high school decided to become a total prick and cheat on his college girlfriend with a girl back home during vacations back home. It sucked but I had never met her. Then he graduates and gets her to move back home with him… and keeps cheating with the other girl. Long story short, while I wasn’t terribly fond of her she didn’t deserve that, and what was worse was seeing a formerly best friend devolve into some regressing post-college frat boy a**hole. I told her the gruesome truth and advised her to just go home. She confronted him, he admitted it, and she still stayed with him for 3 more months before.
