21 Rich People Confess The Best And Worst Things About Being Wealthy

I have maids back in my country and now, living in a country where maids aren’t as affordable and useful due to the size of our home, my siblings and I are extremely lazy when it comes to housework because we’re so used to having our rooms cleaned constantly.

The term “rich” is defined differently by everyone. I earn £250-300k annually, but some of my friends who earn £1m+ don’t see me as rich! The best things about being rich are: I know I am able to support my family, and I know myself and my family can lead comfortable lives with all the necessities, and luxuries, we want. I am very fortunate for that. The negatives of being rich, is that it has made my romance life extremely difficult. I have still yet to find the right girl. It’s pretty clear many girls are after my money. Also, I like to socialize with all different groups of people (age, race, class etc) and sometimes people who earn less than myself prejudge me to be a “typical rich guy” which I really try not to be.

My family is in the upper-middle class. One of the biggest benefits of financial security is not having to worry about medical expenses or getting food on the table or having to work multiple jobs. I have also grown up with many luxuries: toys, mobile devices, instruments, etc. One of the downsides is that I have never had to work for pretty much anything in my life. I worry that I will never be self-sufficient and I will not be as lucky as my parents. I also feel like a spoiled brat at times, even if my friends and family insist otherwise. I feel guilty for being so lucky.

I literally don’t have to worry about becoming homeless. I know that might sound arrogant, but I know that, even with our large family with 6 siblings, I have a house, warm food, and loving parents to fall back on. That’s the biggest pro. A safety net.
