Being a teen is awkward and funny and wonderful and embarrassing and oh my god I’m so glad I’m not 16 anymore. The acne, the longing at crushes from afar, the jilted chip on your shoulder because EVERYONE is obviously against you, and apathy like no one’s business.
Teens can be some emo folk, but can we really blame ’em? They’re just trying to navigate a world of horny hormones, crippling anxiety, and the sh*tstorm that is high school. Not to mention the deathly grips of social media. But like, I honestly kind of miss Myspace, don’t y’all?
So whether you were a raccoon eyed scenester who used to dedicate your seventeenth year to writing poetry about My Chemical Romance, or that dude who faked a British accent through all of sophomore year, it’s safe to say that being a teenager is goofy AF.
