They always told me that my sister was so different from me because she took after my grandfather (mind you, she’s tall, white and with green eyes while I am short, kind of tanned and have brown eyes). Later, by a trick of destiny, I found her birth certificate (I was 10 by then) and where the father’s name was written, it had a different name than my father’s. That’s how I found out that she’s my half-sister. I still get angry and sad when I think of my parents trying to deceive me, telling me that maybe the person who wrote that on the certificate made a mistake.

Once, when I lived at my grandparents, a cat turned up, snuck under the house and gave birth to a litter of kittens. Eventually cat got hit by a truck and we found the kittens, and I was thrilled to have 4 tiny fluffy little cat babies to play with. Shortly after the kittens disappeared and I was told they ran away. 10 years later I brought it up and my grandma cracked up and said “No, I left them on the doorstep of the vet because they were so young.”
