During puberty, my breasts were growing in but I don’t think my parents really noticed so I didn’t wear a bra. However, I was starting to feel the discomfort from running around and stuff while not wearing a bra (i.e. Soreness) so one day I decide that I should try to get my mom to give me bra to wear. I was too embarrassed to just tell her that I wanted a bra so I tried to hint at it by saying stuff like ‘My chest feels sore’ and ‘There’s a pain when I run.’ Mom was really quiet the whole time and honestly didn’t get it. Finally, I told her that I needed a bra, and she kind of heaves this sigh of relief. I think she thought I had cancer or some kind of weird disease.
