My cousin was/is a tepanyaki chef. He was showing me a few tricks (juggling his knife, spatula, veg) and he caught the blade in his palm.

My friend in high school was taking a ham out of the oven, tripped, and spilled hot ham grease all over her bare foot. She had to get skin grafted onto her foot from her thigh.

This is actually my moms story but in her teaching days a kid droped a knife in a trash can And slit his wrist when he tried to get it out of the can, he almost died

Steam burn from lifting a lid off a huge commercial kettle. I picked it straight up instead of shifting it to the side while lifting. It was the end of my shift, so I immediately left in shock. I’m amazed I made it home alive. Had to get some spray lidocaine just to be able to let water touch it.

I saw a man slip and fall and get his leg caught in a deep fryer. It was in a commercial kitchen. He was pulling hood vents down to be cleaned. Slipped leg went into the fryer. Then got caught in between the heating elements. I rushed over and dumped the 350 degree grease. Then immediately started dumping hot water into the fryer. Cold water would have made things much worse.
