29 Awkward Childhood Memories People Can’t Forget

When I was in 4th grade I went to a parade and the girl in my class that I had a crush on was there. Someone had thrown a partially full can of soda on the ground and I thought it would be really cool to show how strong I was and crush it with my foot. I proceeded to step on it as hard as I could. It blasted soda all over her legs and got stuck on my shoe, she freaked out and ran away and I was left there shaking my leg around to try and get the can off my damn shoe.

Girl I had a huge crush on sat in the desk in front of me. Out of nowhere, I sneeze the king of sneezes causing a massive hoard of snot to hit the book she was reading.

I wasn’t a little kid, but around the age 15 it was Christmas Eve at my grandma’s house. My grandma and grandpa had split up for whatever reason and granny decided to start dating. My cousins and I had been sneaking shots down in the basement before the family gathered in a circle to exchange gifts. My uncles were making silly jokes about granny dating when I thought it would be funny to call her a whore. I still cringe when I think of the silence that followed.

When I was five I saw two people making out on the television. I thought “that must be how people kiss when they really love each other.” That night when my dad tucked me into bed I kissed him the way the two people did on the TV. All I can remember is him pushing me away and saying “no” and “that’s inappropriate” 20 times.

When I was in second grade, I stuffed my shirt with about 1/4 roll of toilet paper per boob and got called out in front of all my friends. I was 7 and clearly delusional to think anyone would believe they were real, so I just claimed it was the pleats until the next day.
