Okay, confession time: I’ve walked in on my parents getting it on. I was like, in middle school, and barged in to ask if I could go to my friend’s party later that week. It all happened within a matter of second: opened the door, saw them doing the dirty, my dad yelled at me to leave, I slammed the door to run into my room, and proceeded to try erase the image from my mind. Well, I still remember it to this day, so I guess it’s ingrained in my memory forever, even though I  very much wish it wasn’t.

Lesson learned, knock on the door unless you want to see something that’ll ruin your childhood. Or maybe you shouldn’t knock? Either way, I’m sure there have been plenty of times that we’ve walked in on some pretty embarrassing situations that we wish we could forget.

I’ve made it a point to be wary of walking in on something that I shouldn’t be seeing every since that fateful day in middle school. Walking in on my parents doing the dirty was probably the most harrowing thing I’ve walked in on but I’m sure that others have discovered far worse.

These 29 people share the most cringeworthy thing they’ve walked in on:

1.

I walked into our hotel room during a big drinking event weekend and discovered an Eiffel Tower going on between my close male friend, his ex-girlfriend, and my boyfriend. I wasn’t even mad. I was just shocked. And then my boyfriend shouted “Well, what are you doing? Come get in on this!” I did not.

2.

A midget staring me in eyes as he violently towel dried his balls in the gym locker room with one leg cocked up on a wooden bench.

3.

Nudist bowling night. Imagine your average bowler and remove clothing. I walked in at just the right time to see a very hairy man bend over to retrieve his ball from the ball return.

4.

Walked into an illegal gambling den hidden inside a nondescript grey building next to the auto shop I had broken down near and walked to. Thought it was the office for the shop. Nope. A very large, very scary asian man pushed me back out the door and slammed it in my face
