Back when tuberculosis was a thing, people suffering from the disease were sent to this lovely place where they would be “cured”. If that didn’t work – and it often didn’t – the staff disposed of their bodies via a corpse chute that lead directly to a train.

Bonus points if you repurpose the chute as a Super Slide.

5. The Lincoln Theatre

Decatur, Illinois

The hotel that originally stood here burned down, killing two people. These days, it’s a theatre, but supposedly, you can still spot two ghostly, old-timey gentlemen roaming the halls. Talk about a performance.

6. The Omni Hotel

Austin, Texas

Rumor has it a dude named Jack killed himself by jumping off his balcony and he killed himself before he closed his bar tab. So I guess now he can’t leave until he pays? Staff and hotel guests say they still hear him in his room some nights.
