Ariana Grande’s New Song ‘God Is A Woman’ Has Christians Triggered

Ariana Grande has been the talk of the town recently as fans await the release of her new album, “Sweetener.” Additionally, her quick engagement to comedian Pete Davidson has had many talking–both negatively and positively–about her life.
It seems that now, many people online with conservative religious beliefs are going all “Anti-Ariana” thanks to her new single, “God Is A Woman.” The song is a female empowerment anthem, giving women power (the ultimate power) and allowing young girls to feel as though they are more than just a man’s property/girlfriend.

Along with the single itself, Grande released a powerful music video, showcasing the glass ceiling that she–and so many other women–have shattered over the last few years. It’s no secret that we are living in a time where women are on the rise, fighting for their rights and equality more so than ever. It’s the perfect time for Grande to release this kind of record–as almost an anthem of today’s culture.

However, there are those online who are absolutely furious and triggered over Grande’s new single–and, for many, it’s no surprise. Conservative Christians have long stirred the pot on social media, calling for the abolishment of many female rights (such as the right to choose). Now, they’re calling Ariana Grande out for making a “mockery” of God and religion altogether.

However, there were those that were supportive of Grande and tried explaining what the song was truly about–as they claimed it wasn’t about actual religion and more about female empowerment.
