Demi Lovato Is Rushed To The Hospital Following An Apparent Heroin Overdose

Pop star Demi Lovato was rushed to a hospital after suffering a heroin overdose just one month after releasing a song called “Sober,” reports TMZ. The track revealed to fans that Lovato had broken her sobriety after nearly 6 years off alcohol, cocaine and Oxycontin.

“Our sources say Demi was transported from a home in the Hollywood Hills just before noon Tuesday, and is currently being treated. We do not know her condition,” announced the publication Tuesday afternoon.

Page Six reports that the Los Angeles Police Department refused to confirm whether or not Lovato had been taken to the hospital, but revealed they had responded to a “medical emergency” at her residence at 11:40 AM PST.

Lovato performed at the California Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles with Iggy Azalea last Sunday and was scheduled to go on the road this week for a show in Atlantic City.

“To the ones who never left me / We’ve been down this road before / I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore,” sings Lovato, on “Sober.” The pop star broke down during her first live performance of the song at the Rock in Rio Lisboa festival. “And I’m sorry for the fans I lost / Who watched me fall again / I want to be a role model, but I’m only human.”

Fans and celebrities immediately took to social media to send the pop star good thoughts and show their support.
