It is an inexplicable fact of life that many owners end up looking like their dogs—or is it the other way around? We see it time and time again—it was even referenced in the beginning of 101 Dalmatians!
Now it is being memorialized by British photographer Gerrard Gethings, who is known particularly for his his ability to capture personality and sentiment in animals. Gethings’ most recent project pairs dogs with the owners who look like them. The resemblances, as you will see, are totally uncanny.
The portraits are such a hit that the photographer has transformed them into a memory card game. “Do You Look Like Your Dog” dropped on September 10 and features all 25 pairs of animal-human portraits. Get yours here!
