With the final season of Game of Thrones on its way to our television screens within the year, it’s basically all any of us fans can think about. This week, at the 2018 Emmy Awards, the HBO series earned their trophy for ‘Outstanding Drama Series,’ and, so well deserved.
At the award show, multiple outlets stopped to speak with the cast and crew about how it feels to be wrapping up one of the most iconic shows in television history. Kit Harington, who plays the epic Jon Snow, spoke with Us Weekly and had a lot to say about the show and his wife, Rose Leslie.
As we all know, Harington and Leslie met on the set of Game of Thrones when their characters fell in love. To make it even more romantic, the two fell in love both on and off the show–which led to their “I do’s” in June.
While speaking to reporters, Harington said that Game of Thrones will always hold a special place in his heart, not only because it was one of his biggest career moves and the wonderful opportunity he had, but also:
I met my wife in this show, so in that way it gave me my future family, and my life from here on in. It’s been the most amazing thing, and it’s changed my life completely, obviously.
Honestly, someone grab me tissues–it’s too good to be true.
