Former President Barack Obama and former FLOTUS Michelle Obama were spotted at Beyoncé and Jay-Z’s On the Run II Tour in Washington, DC, last Friday. Videos of the royal couple dancing quickly hit social media and it is of utmost importance you take a gander or two:
It’s hard to tell what track the Obamas were getting down to, but their arm movements seem to indicate it was a definite banger.
They’re so damn cool.

Those lucky enough to be in attendance knew they were in the presence of double the legends they paid for.
This is the second time Michelle Obama has been captured on video dancing to a Bey + Jay performance in the past month. A couple of weeks ago, a fan video captured the former FLOTUS dancing in Paris as JAY-Z performed and Beyoncé’s mom Tina Knowles Lawson looked on.

What makes the Obama-Carter relationship so damn powerful goes beyond the fact that all four individuals are talented beyond all belief in their own right; it’s that they are all self-made African-American legends whose journeys were made that much more difficult because of their race.
“I like to think Mr. Carter and I understand each other,” Barack Obama said at JAY-Z’s induction into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017. “Nobody who met us when we were younger men would have expected us to be where we are today.”
“We know what it’s like not to have a father around,” he added. “We know what it’s like not to come from much, and to know people who didn’t get the same breaks that we did. So we try to prop open the door of opportunity so that it’s a little easier for those who come up behind us to succeed as well.”
Oh how we stan.
