Pete Davidson Apparently Told Ariana Grande He’d Marry Her While He Was Still Dating His Ex-Girlfriend

Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande have been taking up a large chunk of the celebrity spotlight lately after they decided to get engaged after a few weeks of dating.
Davidson, who is a well-known comedian from Saturday Night Live has been thrust into the mainstream celebrity spotlight now that he’s engaged to the pop singer. This not only includes immense staling on social media from fans (so much so that Davidson actually quit social media to get away from them) but, also interviews with high profile publications.

Recently, Davidson scored an interview with GQ Magazine where he revealed some intimate details of his relationship with Grande. In the interview, Davidson revealed that he knew he wanted to marry Grande the day he met her.

The day I met her, I was like, ‘Hey, I’ll marry you tomorrow.

She was calling my bluff. I sent her a picture [of engagement rings]. I was like, ‘Do you like any of these?’ She was like, ‘Those are my favorite ones,’ and I was like, ‘Sick.'”

While it seems hella romantic to believe that Davidson knew Grande was “the one” when they first met, it’s a pretty complicated story when you get down to the nitty-gritty details. According to both Davidson and Grande, they met each other for the very first time in 2016 when Grande appeared on Saturday Night Live.

At the time, Davidson was in a relationship with Cazzie David.

Essentially, if Davidson is telling the truth and he and Grande discussed marriage upon meeting for the first time, he was doing so while in a relationship with someone else–which, no offense to their happiness, is f**king grimey.

If you’re in a relationship with someone and you feel as though you’re into someone else–or, I don’t know, are thinking about marrying someone else–you should probably get out of your relationship altogether and take some time to figure your sh*t out.

Seeing as Davidson stayed in his relationship with Cazzie David until 10 months ago, despite having conversations with a completely another woman about marriage, shows that he needs to work some of his own, personal issues, out–for sure.

@ me or don’t @ me–you know that’s some shady business.
