If you’ve ever been totally over folks criticizing your life choices, then you will relate to what Pink is going through. Celebrities are just like us—sick of everyone’s crap. The singer has been traveling through Australia, putting on a concert that not only involves music, it involves a lot of swinging from the ceiling from ropes, Cirque Du Soleil-style. It’s a pretty demanding act, and touring itself is really stressful. People often get sick when they’re traveling and that’s exactly what happened to Pink and her two kids.
Yup, that’s right, Pink is also taking care of her children as she goes. It’s pretty awesome to see the world with your kids, but it definitely compounds the stress. Kids aren’t always great with new surroundings, they get tired (but won’t admit it), and even with personal assistants, there’s some stuff only a mom can do. Unfortunately, Pink and her kids got sick, and she had to announced that she was canceling her performances in Sydney.
Hi my Sydney friends. It is with great frustration that I bring you this news:( Friday’s show will be postponed. I was hoping a couple of days of rest would help me kick this sick, but not at the speed I was hoping for. I appreciate your well wishes and understanding + I’m sorry.

Fans were disappointed, and there are probably some who will never forgive and forget. But most people understand that things happen. The human body has its weaknesses, even Pink’s. Unfortunately, the paparazzi refused to let it lie. They snapped some photos of Pink hanging out with her daughter at the beach and posted them with a headline implying that the artist just capriciously bailed on her tour dates to go swimming. Pink was not having it, and she wrote an angry message to all the secret photographers hiding in the bushes:
She wrote that she doesn’t “need to clear this up,” but decided to address it out of respect to her fans. Pink explained that the trip to Byron and the beach had been scheduled into her tour as a break for her kids so they could have some time one-on-one with mom away from the hotel rooms. Yes, they’re chilling on the beach, but what didn’t get photographed was all the doctor visits in Byron and all the medication she’s had to take, including steroids and antibiotics. She continued:
You can think whatever you want, it’s your right, but I have never taken advantage of any one in my entire life. I have never fucked off while disrespecting hard working people who spend money to come see me play. I have never phoned in a single tour, I have an impeccable record for not cancelling. I mother with everything I have whilst handling all the rest. The snark in this is unbelievable and makes me long for a nicer world. I’m doing the absolute best I can, and you can believe it or not. What they don’t show you in this picture is me drinking water and lying down while my friends try to entertain my 7 year old who is asking me why these creepy men are surrounding us and pacing back and forth and taking pictures of her every move. I will see everyone tomorrow whether I’m better or not, and the postponed show will be rescheduled. As I said, I’m sorry to the real fans who this situation has affected. Onwards and upwards.

Pink has cooled down since, but BuzzFeed reports that she’s since taken another jab at the paparazzi after further complications led to additional cancelations. She wrote on Instagram that she has thought she’d be able to resume her performances on Monday, but ended up being rushed to the hospital just twenty minutes before heading in for soundcheck:

Our next show will be Saturday, and until then I will be drinking green tea, and spending time with my kids.
That’s a warning to paparazzi, you might actually see me walking upright outside of my hotel room cage with two little children, and another warning: I might even smile. Not too much, though. I’ll try to control the smiling.
Pink, you don’t owe anyone anything, except possibly a refund. Smile, sit on the beach, never stop with the clapbacks.
