Years ago, tattoos held a strong stigma of being trashy, tacky, or low class. However, today’s millennial kids have changed that outdated thought. According to Pew Research Center, nearly 40% of American teenagers and 20-somethings have a tattoo. Within the tattooed population, about half of them have more than one, and 18% have six or more.
So. Not only are we changing the face of things – literally – but some would actually say that they prefer a significant other with tattoos. A tattoo is art on the skin that is our canvas. Here’s some proof that inked up gals are hot:
1. She is an individual.
She likes that she’s got something on her skin that no one else has. It sets her apart; it makes her different; it makes her special.
2. She has a strong character.
Whatever it is that she decided to permanently brand onto her skin, obviously means a lot to her. She has a voice, an opinion, and personal expression.
3. She is easy to get to know.
She wears her ink on her sleeve, and her heart on her skin; she’ll probably open up pretty quickly.
4. She has a story.
Some of her tattoos could just be aesthetically pleasing, but some have a deeper meaning. Once you get to know her, you’ll probably get the story on ‘em.
5. She’s passionate.
Tattoos have life, and they speak when you look at them. She feels strongly about what she has tattooed on her skin – they are constant reminders of an important time in her life.
6. She’s committed.
She also has no problem committing to the lifelong promise of having some ink on her skin, which probably means she is committed in other ways too.
7. She’s mysterious.
She probably has a dark side. She’ll leave scratch marks on your back and bite marks on your shoulder.
8. She is non-conventional.
A gal who is all tatted up most likely isn’t a type-A conventional priss. Which means she probably isn’t conventional in other ways too. If ya know what I mean.
9. She’s a total badass.
You don’t…? What? Don’t you like her tattoos? She doesn’t give a shit what you think.
