‘Teen Mom’ Star Kailyn Lowry Drags Kylie Jenner For ‘Glamorizing’ Young Motherhood

As many people know, Kylie Jenner–the youngest of the Kardashian/Jenner family–got pregnant at 19 and had her first daughter at 20. While she isn’t necessarily a “teen mom,” she’s definitely a young mom.

Many people have pointed out that Kylie has made motherhood look “easy” because she is well-off and has the ability to provide for her daughter, unlike other young mothers who struggle. Recently, star of the MTV series Teen Mom Kailyn Lowry spoke out about this–and Kylie’s persona on social media specifically.

It’s no secret that Kylie is always sharing photos of her daughter–despite saying she was going to “keep Stormi out of the spotlight.”

One can say that Kylie makes young motherhood look fun and easy–and could potentially influence her fans and followers to conceive young, as well. Lowry is aware of this and brought it up when appearing on the “Make Speidi Famous Again” podcast this week. Lowry said:

I don’t want to hate her because obviously she’s so successful, but when you’re that young and you have that much money and you’re able to have a nanny or have a lot of help, I think that shows that it’s kind of glamorous to have a kid so young.

She claimed that Kylie gives women the “wrong impression” of teenage/young motherhood.

She wasn’t a teenager [when Kylie had Stormi,] so obviously it’s slightly different, but we got a lot of backlash for Teen Mom and 16 and Pregnant that makes it look like the show is glamorous and I just don’t agree because it took me seven years to get a four year degree. I didn’t always have the money I have now. I would not agree that our show makes it glamorous. But situations like Kylie, they don’t realise that she has millions of dollars and she has a ton of help and she can go out and party and do all these things.

Some people on Twitter agreed with Lowry. Some on Twitter have been talking about how Kylie Jenner has glorified and glamorized motherhood.

But, many people on Twitter disagreed.
