Growing up is hard — especially when mom and pop lay down some crazy f*cking rules. Sock taxes, no laughing while laying down, no Harry Potter — these are just a few rigid restrictions. And a world without Harry Potter is not a world I want to live in. #Gryffindor4lyfe
Some rules are put in place to keep kids safe. I get it, don’t run near the pool because you will definitely slip and fall and die. But not being able to cut your hair until you’re eighteen years old?! Just thinking about all of the money I’d spend on conditioner makes me want to rip my hair out. Which is literally what I would have to do if I wanted an asymmetrical bob.
So just be thankful if your mom let you stay up past 7 watching dope Nickelodeon shows. And give your dad a pat on the back for allowing you to have friends over — because some kids weren’t so lucky. A moment of silence for all of the children who couldn’t watch Rugrats growing up.
