A friend of a fried died when someone threw a cinder block off an overpass and it dropped through her windshield. She lost control of the car and crashed, and died in the hospital a couple days later. Just because she happened to be there when some asshole decided it would be fun to cause a wreck. As far as I know, no one ever caught the guy.

Someone I used to know got crushed by his truck while he was working on it & the jack slipped. Former coworker blew his face off. Worst one I ever read about was a kid who got decapitated on a party bus after he opened up the skylight at the wrong moment–just before going under an overpass.

My mom and our family like to tell us to not gamble because one of our uncles was found chopped to pieces in the back of a restaurant. This happened in Macau and crimes like this used to happen so much that police brush over it (most of them are corrupt anyway).

There was a guy two doors down from me in my college dorm, who died from autoerotic asphyxiation. It was the first time I’d ever heard of the scenario. He had no roommate (so nobody could discover his body), and he was 28 years old so he was quite a bit older than the rest of us on the floor. Therefore he had his own circle of friends outside of the rest of us dorm residents. It happened completely coincidentally that the drain in our communal shower got a massive clog at the same time, and water was backed up out of the bathroom and into the hallways. When he was a couple of days gone and started smelling, we all thought the shower drain was what caused the smell. But the drain was fixed and the smell stayed with us. A day later, our resident manager found him. We all were on lockdown for the rest of the night.

A community member in the small town where I grew up lost all three of his kids in the same car accident. They were driving down the interstate to go visit him in the hospital, as he was recovering from back surgery on his birthday. As they were passing a semi, their car lost a wheel and they swerved into the semi’s gas tank. Two of them died instantly. The third one managed to climb out of the car while he was on fire, and died in the hospital later.
