These Are The Most Disturbing Ways People Have Been Killed

A couple riding their bikes on the Trans Canada highway through Banff National Park in the 90s. One of the cyclists was either too close to the driving lane, or the guy driving the motorhome was too close to the shoulder, but the sideview mirror decapitated the cyclist. Driver was in denial and just kept driving, but the cops eventually caught up to him.

Story from my dad. He was a police officer in the 80’s. This was before the seat belt laws and child safety laws. He had to help clean a baby’s body out of the glove box. It really messed with his head.

At work, saw a guy who had been contracted to clean the windows using the a scissor lift on uneven pavement outside. “That doesn’t look safe,” I thought, and walked right past him. Moments later rushed back outside after the crash. It tipped over and had smashed him into the pavement so hard his eyes had left their orbits. He was still alive but died in the ambulance.

I work at a factory upstate. There’s a machine in the non-ferrous foundry that mixes clay with the sand for the molds. It goes from something stupid like 0-250 horsepower in a manner of seconds. Years ago there was a guy in it before the shift started (no one knows why). They flipped the switch on and he never stood a chance. Guess they didn’t find out till mid shift when they had to add more clay.

Minding his own business sitting still at an intersection when another car ran the light because he was fleeing the scene of a hit and run. No cops chasing him, he was just trying to get away, lost control because of trying to avoid other cars and hit some poor guy stopped waiting for the light to turn green.
