Here’s Why Hotel Photos On Travel Websites Are A Complete Hoax

Whenever you’re planning a vacation, there’s nothing like browsing hotels and resorts online to see where you want to stay. The photos that are provided are ones that are usually colorful, bright, and make you want to leave as soon as humanly possible. No matter the destination you choose, the websites provide you with photo after photo of luxurious, amazing, and gorgeous sites, beaches, and hotel rooms. But, are they all actually like this? It turns out, hotel websites are actually fooling you with there over-the-top beautiful photographs and we have the proof.

Thanks to hotel-review website Oyster and their “photo fakeouts” section, we actually see what the hotels really look like–behind the lens. While the photos look like private beaches with white sand, beautiful and spacious hotel rooms, and dining areas fit for a king–it’s not always the truth.
