Mom Finds Out Her Daughter Is The School Bully And Her Punishment Has The Internet Divided

Being a mom in today’s day and age is never easy. With the amount of technology and social media your children use–many of which you don’t entirely understand–it’s hard to keep track of what they’re doing “behind closed doors.”

While we want to think that we raise our kids the right way–to treat people with respect and dignity–our life lessons sometimes fall on deaf ears. Finding out that your child is bullying or picking on another kid is something that disappoints you and eats at you as a parent. One mother from Newfoundland, Canada was outraged when her daughter’s school reported that her daughter, Hannah, was bullying a friend in school. Amanda Mitchell decided that she would take matters into her own hands and teach her daughter a lesson–one she would remember for the rest of her life. She then decided to share her “punishment” on her Facebook page–and, it’s stirred up some controversy online.

Mitchell also shared photos of her daughter’s room, completely empty and stripped of all toys and clothing.

After sharing her punishment on social media, there were mixed reactions. Some people thought that Mitchell was doing the right thing and instilling a vital life lesson for her daughter, teaching her how things work in the real world.

However, others thought this was too harsh and setting a bad example for Hannah by putting it on social media.

What do you think of Mitchell’s punishment–fair or too much?
