It seems as though the recent trend in the celebrity dating pool is to fast-track engagements. First, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson shocked the world with their announcement. Then, Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin followed in their footsteps.
Now, it seems our beloved Jo-Bro Nick Jonas is putting a damn ring on it after only 2 months of dating. Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are reportedly engaged, according to People Magazine.
The report states that “she said yes” in London while traveling together for Chopra’s 36th birthday. The report also said that Jonas closed down the entire Tiffany & Co. store in New York City just to pick out the ring–swoon.
The two met back in May 2017 and attended the Met Gala together, as friends, but kept in touch. A year later, in May 2018, reports were surfacing that the two were officially an item. They’ve also already met each other’s families, as reports detail that in June, Chopra attended Jonas’ cousin’s wedding as his +1. And, only a few weeks ago, the two traveled to Mumbai together where our dear ol’ Nicky met Priyanka’s mom–how sweet.
According to People, both friends and family are extremely happy for the two lovebirds. A source revealed:
His friends and family have never seen him like this, and they’re all really excited for him. He’s definitely very serious about her.
Fans on Twitter have some mixed feelings, however. Many were disappointed they weren’t marrying Nick Jonas.
