Three Women Noticed A Dude Being Sketchy At A Bar And Prevented A Rape

It can be easy to get bogged down by the overwhelming amount of terrible individuals in this world especially when they seem to be dominating the news circuit, but that doesn’t mean that truly good people don’t exist.

Sometimes we just need a wholesome story to remind us that not all hope is lost. Take these three heroines in Santa Monica, for example, who prevented a woman from getting date raped by her friend.

This is Sonia Ulrich and her two friends, Monica Kenyon and Maria Saltzer, who were enjoying happy hour at a local restaurant when they witnessed an attempted rape.

Sonia later shared this photo and the trio’s heroic story on Facebook.

Thankfully, these heroes were there to stop a form of assault that happens all too often.

According to RAINN, the nation’s largest anti-sexual violence organization, 7 out of 10 rapes are committed by someone the victim knows.

And people were truly amazed by their actions.

If you or someone you know ever witnesses something like this or is a victim of sexual assault, don’t hesitate to call the National Sexual Assault Hotline or visit rainn.org.
