Woman Live-Tweets Being Forced To Sit Next To The Most Horrifying Airplane Passengers, And Everybody Is Grossed Out

Air travel is no longer the glamorous mode of transportation that it once was. If anything, most flights are now just glorified bus trips, 3,500 feet in the air. And let’s not forget that fact that most airlines aren’t exactly treating their customers (or their pets) with the utmost care.

All in all, every time you fly the “friendly” skies, you’re likely in for a decidedly unfriendly experience.

Twitter user Jessie was recently seated on a flight and living the dream: sitting next to a pair of empty seats.

So much space! So much room to spread out! Could this miraculous travel situation be too good to be true?

Well, as it turns out: it definitely was.

It wasn’t long before Jessie’s dream scenario turned into a waking nightmare and a pair of strange feet decided to creep into her personal space.

Like, what level of oblivious do you have to be to not realize that forcing someone to sit next to your bare, stinky feet is a HA-YUGE faux pas?

Oh, and it got even worse …

… hilariously so.

Obviously, people offered advice on how to deal with the situation.

But honestly, in that kind of situation, your only option is to really sit there in utter bewilderment (and horror).

This isn’t the first time that such an aggressive violation of personal space has occurred on an airplane. Author Jill Filipovic once had stinky feet thrust RIGHT ON HER ARM.

Then there’s this passenger, who straight-up had the most offensive plane experience I think I’ve ever witnessed to date: a child yanking hair out of his leg.

PEOPLE ?? ARE ?? TRASH.

So, let this be a lesson to all plane passengers who quickly forget that their seat isn’t their own personal bedroom: THERE ARE OTHER PEOPLE AROUND YOU. REEL IT IN, SIS. YOU CAN GET COMFY WHEN THE PLANE LANDS.

Also, this proves my theory that it’s usually best to travel with a heavy rubber mallet of some kind.
