The 17 Absolute Worst Divorces Imaginable

Ugh divorce, amirite?! It’s both a blessing and a curse. See, although it can tear families apart, imagine how many people would be left in toxic relationships, unable to get out, without it? A shit ton.

Most people these days have had at least one divorce under their belt. Those divorces can go one of two ways: smoothly or horribly. Obviously the latter is preferred, but there are a lot of horrible divorces out there. They can drag on for months, even years, and the children (and pets) end up stuck in the middle, without a say in anything.

The following 17 divorces show just how bad it can get. The partners either both acted despicably, or one was a complete monster, and ruined the life of their ex. Seriously, some of these people are pure evil. THAT’S WHY THEY’RE GETTING A DIVORCE! CAN’T WE ALL JUST GET ALONG?!

These 17 divorces were absolutely horrible:

1.

When I was an infant, my family used to go down the ocean to an aunt’s house for a week in the summer. When I was about a year and a half old, my father said he had to stay home in order to work. A couple days later, my mother gets a phone call from our neighbour saying that my father had moved a woman into our apartment for the week while the rest of us were on vacation.

2.

Some people I know had a small row because the wife wouldn’t leave the pub when he wanted to, when she got home (after one more drink) they continued to row until he went to his mums. Neither would back down and they ended up divorced. They are still very good friends just both were too stubborn to apologize.

3.

I divorced my husband because after I forgave him for trying to have sex with my cousin (and 11 other affairs) he thought he got my sister pregnant and we had to have a paternity test. She was negative, I wasn’t. I tested positive for a STD she gave him. She was engaged to his best friend at the time. He gets a really awkward look on his face every time our teenage child mentions how shitty cheating is (they don’t know). We live in a small town, and it is known to a small circle of people, and I pray it doesn’t ever come out and devastate them. I have never been close with my sister, so cutting her out of my life didn’t impact my child to the point of wondering where she went.

4.

He was married with a baby, his wife was pregnant, & he moved to a bigger city for a new job. She was going to follow once he had found a good place for them all to live. He moved into a flat with some friends instead of finding a house & he didn’t send for her. He starts seeing other women. She is still in the original city & has the baby. Meantime, he is still seeing other women & staying in a flat with his friends – basically redoing his 20s. She is left in the other city with his 2 kids & he then waits out the 2-year waiting period until he files for divorce. He walks away with a new life & she has 2 kids & is now a divorced single mom.
