17 People Witnessed Shocking Wedding Objections

My good friend had briefly dated the son of a friend of their family, but just wasn’t feeling it. He had apparently had a crush on her for years & tried to woo her. Flash forward 18 months to his wedding, which she attended. During the vows, when the priest asked if anyone objected, he turned around, while at the altar, and stared straight at her for a good 30 seconds (doesn’t seem long, but in that case it was an eternity). She was totally gobsmacked, and wanted to crawl under the pew. He eventually turned around and they completed the wedding ceremony. At the reception, the maid-of-honor spent a lot of time in the vicinity of my friend, throwing her death glares and loudly proclaiming how much the groom just loved the bride.

Wife-to-be’s dad walks in and outs the groom as a crack addict in front of the whole family.

My grandma was getting married and my mom objected because she realized my brother was outside and didn’t want him to miss anything.

I planned one in at my wedding just to keep it interesting and keep the guests guessing. It wasn’t so much of an objection, but when the celebrant asked, each bridesmaid stepped forward and issued a challenge for us to answer before we could proceed. It was fun, the look on the guests faces when the first bridesmaid stepped forward and yelled “I would speak!” was priceless.
