These Are 19 of the Most Horrible Strangers People Had to Sit Next to

While riding a L.A. Metro bus headed to school (I was 6 months pregnant at the time) an elderly woman sat next to me. She turned toward me and coughed the wettest cough on my face. She then covered her mouth with a scarf to continue coughing. I asked if she was feeling ok and she replied she was very sick. I wished her well and proceeded to douse my hands in sanitizer and wiped my face off with my scarf. I ended up having the worst respiratory infection of my life and had to miss 2 weeks of school. Pretty sure the terror I felt after mucus and spit being coughed on my face was one of the worst experiences while sat next to a stranger I have had.

One time I was flying to my dad’s for his week and the guy next to me had a bad cold. He sneezed louder than anyone in the world. The flight attendant moved me across the aisle because I think she thought he had the plague and was going to save me.

Once I’ve been sitting in a bus when a guy got on, sat next to me and began spraying himself with disinfectant. Not like someone would do to do clean his hands, he used liter-bottles. 3 of them. He disinfected himself in such an extent that a small stream of sanitizer was running on the floor of the bus, evaporating, making the air nearly unbreathable. The driver had to stop and everyone had to get off the bus. Oh and did I mention that he used several tied up pens as a necklace, was wearing about 8 belts and smelled like his last shower had been 6 weeks ago?
