He was basically living there against campus rules and she refused to kick him out. I didn’t blame her that much at the time because he was screwing with her and abusing her as well, and after they broke up I tried to be friends again but…. It was never really the same.

We went on a trip together and she spent the entire time being nasty to me. The whole thing was like a flashback to my abusive older sister who I don’t speak to any more, and it made me realize I had been ignoring some serious red flags in her behavior and our friendship. We spoke once after getting back from the trip and I just realized that the friendship wasn’t worth the grief of trying to repair it to me and I didn’t want someone in my life who treated me that way.

She became a stripper, dropped out of uni and got heavily into drinking and drugs and then told me I was ruining my life by getting married at the age of 21. I wasn’t bothered by any of those things she did, but I draw the line at telling me how to live my life.

I told her my uncle passed away, she read the message, ignored it, and proceeded to complain about her kids a couple hours later. I stopped talking to her and she never questioned why. It ate me up inside so one day I asked her if she knew why I stopped talking to her. She said she had no idea, so I told her. She had no recollection of the events. I was done.
