When i was a kid I found a thermometer in the bathroom. Do being the curious 8 year old i was i stuck it in my mouth to see what my temperature was. Turns out it was a rectal thermometer.

Rat meat and food cooked in sewage oil. A few years ago there had been several government crackdowns on unsafe food in Shanghai. Several of the restaurants I used to frequent were shut down for serious violations. 2 of my favorite hotpot restaurants were caught using rat meat disguised as mutton, and another of my fave restaurant has been using gutter oil in its food. Gutter oil is an illicit cooking oil recycled from grease traps and sewer drains. Many restaurants in China had been caught using this for its cheap price and the unbelievable delicious tastes and aroma it gives to the dishes.

I had a dream that I was eating popcorn. I woke up with a mouthful of foam that I had pulled from a hole in the corner of the pillow.

It was after school and as I was waiting for my mom to pick me up, my friend was eating this vanilla ice cream he bought from this student store near us. Keep in mind that it was dripping because it was damn hot outside. I look away for one second and bam: White stuff on my hand. Without thinking, I thought to myself, ‘oh neat, his ice cream dripped on my hand. I’ll have a little taste!’ So I licked it, and I tasted absolutely no sense of sweet vanilla ice cream flavor. Instead, I was met with this sour, foul, bitter taste that still haunts me to this very day. I thought to myself, ‘What the hell? What in the world is this?’ And as I hear the flutter of wings passing by overhead, I came to a horrific realization that no 7 year old should ever experience. I did not taste ice cream. I tasted bird shit.
