21 People Tragically Stumbled Upon A Dead Body

When I was 8 I had stayed home from school. I was in the living room watching cartoons and I decided to go check on my mom. When I tried to wake her up she wouldn’t wake up. I shook her and yelled at her but she just would budge. I ran to my grandpa in the other room and he called 911 but it was too late. She had died of an overdose. I was pretty messed up seeing her taken out on a stretcher and I got to kiss her on the forehead one last time.

I went down to the tracks to smoke with some friends back in highschool. We were confused because of the train being stopped at our usual spot, no where near a station. There were people walking around in front. We thought it had broken down. Well when we finished we walked over to see they were carefully peeling a kid our age off the front. Well mostly brain matter. His two halves had been placed to the side for transportation to a morgue I suppose. Found out the next day he had been walking home from school and took the tracks as a shortcut. He had ear buds and must have had the music blasting. Never heard the train coming.

Went away for a few weeks. Couldn’t get in contact with my mum while I was gone, didn’t think much of it. When I got home I found her hanging. She’d been there for 18 days and had maggots in her eyes and mouth, blackened bloated body, green fingers etc.

I was working as a residence assistant at my university. It was the end of the year, and I was on day duty during a move-out day. It’s not uncommon for students to move out and forget to notify the front desk or an RA, especially when they’re trying to avoid room damage fines. I’m going through a stack of room checks for kids that were supposed to have left the day before. He was still in his bed. Dried vomit was streaked down the pillow and pooled on the floor. He was cold to the touch.
