When i was in high school i got a lot of ingrown toenails. One got really infected so i went to the ER to have them take care of it. the toe was infected enough that it wouldnt numb so they went ahead and removed my entire toenail while i could feel everything. I can remember the pain so clearly the feeling of a little metal rod prying the nail from the skin then it being cut into sections and being yanked out.

I fell off a tree and shattered my wrist and broke my knee so that the bone came out of the skin and was visible. I then proceeded to walk home (somehow) and tell my mom. All that when I was 13.
