Celebrities Are Sending Prayers To Demi Lovato After She Was Hospitalized For A Relapse

On Tuesday, reports broke that singer and actress Demi Lovato was rushed to a Los Angeles hospital following a possible relapse. TMZ originally reported the story, claiming that Lovato was unconscious when officials arrived and revived her with Narcan, an emergency medication to reverse the effects of a narcotic overdose.

After the news broke, reports were speculating that Lovato had overdosed on heroin, until a source close to the singer said this was false. A representative for Lovato and her family issued a statement hours after her hospitalization saying that she is “awake and stable,” surrounded by her family. They also expressed their gratitude to those who sent love and prayers but, added:

Some of the information being reported is incorrect and they respectfully ask for privacy and not speculation as her health and recovery is the most important thing right now.

Lovato has been open with fans and followers about her struggle with addiction and her mental health disorder–having been sober for six years in March. However, she released a new single “Sober,” last month, revealing she had recently relapsed.

Since the news spread like wildfire online, celebrities all over the world have been sending love, prayers, and support to the singer in her time of need.
