13. Date The Wrong People
Until you’ve done a few dry runs, the reality is that you have no idea what actually matters most to you in a relationship. So whether this means breaking away from your type or just enjoying a casual fling, use your early twenties to challenge your assumptions and develop critical communication skills. All of that practice will be vital later on.
14. Figure Out What You Want
The first years after college (and beyond) are the first turning point when your goals – and your lifestyle – will start to deviate from everyone else’s. Some of your friends will go back to school, some will pull all-nighters working jobs they hate just for the paycheck. Some will get married and have kids young. Still others will forgo material possessions to live out of a backpack and travel the world.
There’s nothing wrong with any of those things – as long as the choice you make, you make for you. Do some serious soul searching before choosing your path, and be wary of the herd mentality. Going against the grain isn't easy, but it's worth it.
15. Take Care Of Yourself
Unless scientists make some major breakthroughs, and soon, this is the only body you're gonna get. Probably a good idea to take care of it then, don't you think? So eat your veggies, get some sleep, and take a mental health day every once in awhile. Future you will be grateful.
