17 Things That Really Should Be Common Knowledge

You’d be surprised how little some people know. Seriously, it’s actually pretty astounding. Sure, some things come down to a shitty education system (WHICH NEEDS TO BE FIXED ASAP). Other times you can blame the parents for not teaching their kids enough. But honestly, a lot of the time it just comes down to the fact that some people are just dummies.

So, what do we do? The only thing we can: drill things into people’s brains.. HARD. There are a lot of things out there that really need to be common knowledge. Some you would expect, like people needing to know how our foods are made and where they come from. But then there are others that you assume are already common knowledge, like that the earth is round, and that men and women have the same amount of ribs (seriously, some people don’t know that).

But let’s start small, shall we? For those of you that know these things, a refresher doesn’t hurt. But for those of you that are unaware of some of these facts, definitely try and memorize them. If you don’t know a couple, that’s forgivable, don’t beat yourself. In all honestly, some of these aren’t all that necessary. But if you don’t know what continent the Middle East is apart of, we’ve got a problem.

These 17 things really need to be common knowledge:

1.

I was always told in Sunday school “men have 1 less rib than women.” Turns out that is not true. Everyone has the same amount of ribs.

2.

That several does not mean seven. I didn’t even know that was a thing people thought.

3.

Narwhals are 100% real.

4.

The left lane is for passing/slower traffic should keep right (In the U.S., at least).
