These 17 Wedding Photographers Dealt With Crappy Clients

Bride’s mom called and is horrified because I used the lens that makes everyone look short and wide. Neither bride nor mom have any self awareness about what they actually look like.

While I love a lot of things about wedding photography other people find to be chores (editing, blogging, etc.) I REALLY dislike consultations. For me, having to sell myself and impress two strangers without knowing much about their personalities can be pretty nerve racking. They’re free, and even if I make a killer impression, it doesn’t guarantee anything.

Photographed a wedding wherein I covered the bride/bridesmaids getting ready at a lake house. The groom/groomsmen were supposed to arrive at a certain time for first look and wedding party photos. They arrived about 45 minutes late. While not drunk, none of them were close to sober. This annoyed the bride, which brought her dangerously close to bridezilla-status. Throughout the photos, the groom was completely indifferent to the affair, which caused a not-so-subtle layer of tension between himself and the bride. While taking photos on the boat dock outside the house, he became more concerned with his hair not looking right than focusing on his soon-to-be wife.

Bride was a total bridezilla on her wedidng day, I’m used to these things but she was just too much. She drank so much while getting ready and it was hard to take photos after the ceremony with the wedding party bc she couldn’t even stand straight.
