These 21 Friendships Suffered Falling Out’s That Were Beyond Fixable

He badmouthed my wife and I cut him out of my life. (Best friend, best man my wedding)

He was upset I had a boyfriend and couldn’t drop everything for him anymore. He now goes around insulting me to anyone who’ll listen. Now I just think it’s pathetic but at the time I was really hurt because I tried really hard to make sure I didn’t drop him just because I had a bf.

She refused to talk to me after I “stole” 50 cents (I ASKED HER BEFORE I DID IT!) from her to top off the tip at a restaurant. I didn’t know she felt that way until a week after the dinner, when I called her to say that I was going on a cruise. She said that I’d done it before (I HAD NOT), and she wasn’t going to talk to me anymore.

The only dramatic falling out happened with my middle school best friend. She had a thing for her older brother’s best friend. No big deal unless you’ve just turned 13, he’s 17, and he decides it’s a good idea to act on it. I told her I wouldn’t rat her out, but I wasn’t going to lie to cover for her either. Her mom called on afternoon asking if she was there, and I told her I hadn’t seen her since getting off the bus the day before. Mom freaked out, and I suggested she ask her son where his friend lived since she had a huge crush on him. Her mom caught them in the aftermath of sex, and dragged her home. She blamed me for getting her in deep trouble, the fact that her “boyfriend” was going to be spending some serious time in jail, and that she was being shipped off to live with relatives in small town BFE.
