21 Ladies Admit They’ve Been Friend Zoned and It Sucks

I was always more of a tomboy growing up, and by the time I hit middle school I had almost no chick friends, only guys. Most of my guy friends were just that, friends. But through the years I would develop a crush here and there. Everytime I would be ballsy enough to show any interest beyond friendship, I was always referred to as “one of the guys”. Eventually, I accepted this truth and lived with the idea that guys I meet weren't going to be interested and it was simple.

I've been friend-zoned by so many guys because the men I'm attracted to tend to be gay. Every friendship that got close enough to dating or something more, they'd then come out to me. Then, once the mourning over what could have been, we could talk about hot dudes and sex tips.

The whole “I don't want things to get weird between us”. It just so happens that I am able to have sex with my friends without things getting “weird”. That is, until you bring it up and start acting weird…

Liked a guy, he pretty much led me on. Was about to tell him I was into him when he cut me off asking me to set him up with my best friend. I stupidly did it. Never regretted anything so much. He ruined her. He is an awful person and a terrible significant other. I wish she would see it – but in a way, I'm glad I was friend zoned.
