21 Ladies Admit They’ve Been Friend Zoned and It Sucks

In college, I liked this guy for a while. Tried to will-power myself into not liking him (he had a long distance gf) but he did nothing to stop my attentions, really. We kept hanging out all the time to the point where people assumed we were going out, but it was strictly platonic. Then one day he replaced me with another girl. I would swing into his room and find this other girl chatting with him while sitting on my spot on his bed, I would go and see if he wanted to grab something to eat and end up going to the cafeteria alone to see them hanging out… Kinda my own fault in a sense because I should’ve just stopped hanging out with him altogether instead of deluding myself that I was over him.

“I really really love you. Like a puppy!” Oh… F*ck that guy.

A guy and I were fairly close friends and always seemed to be out of sync until we were both single and had been for a few months and finally I asked him (angrily) why he’s never put the moves on me, he was exactly my type of guy and we were such good friends, loved the same things, he was smart. Then he came out to me as gay.

I really liked a guy first semester of college and we ended up becoming best friends. It was revealed that we both had feelings for each other, but after a long emotional talk he said he didn’t think it was good for us to be in a relationship. We ended up having a few talks after that but then he avoided me for a month claiming afterward he needed to “get over me to concentrate on school work.” We’re back to being friends now, but it’s still awkward because I still have feelings for him and he’s completely over me.
