These 21 People Have In-laws From Hell

MIL in law once set up a long weekend vacation with the three young siblings-in-law and us… We GET to the destination and she pulls my husband aside to tell him she has absolutely no money to pay for anything and we'll be paying for all lodging, meals, activities, etc. We were in our early 20's, not yet married and barely making ends meet. We had saved up for the trip as something special and would look like a**holes to the kids if we dragged everyone home and cancelled the trip.

Would call up my husband asking for money for a vital bill (ie electricity), then ask his brother, then ask his sister- sometimes getting money from all three for the full bill! Once the sis-in-law asked to have the account so she could pay the bill directly, knowing her mother’s tricks, and beast-in-law freaked out and screamed at her and berated her for being a terrible daughter, not trusting her etc. She is still in our life but we have monetarily cut her off entirely. She still uses her other kids like ATMs when they allow it, is homeless and living with one of the siblings, and has been bouncing from relative to relative for the last… 6 or so years. She absolutely will not be living with us.

My in-laws spoke about me in their own language in my presence virtually all the time and made no secret of the fact or of the fact they were being insulting. Because I couldn't understand what they were saying, I couldn't respond or complain and just had to remain there, smiling like an idiot, pretending not to know what was going on.

My mother in law has never even sent me a birthday card let alone anything to do with xmas and she dosent seem to bother that much with my wife on her birthday or at christmas either. Our kids get the cards and presents but thats about as far as it goes.
