21 Reasons You’ll Be Forever Alone

I don’t connect with people in any meaningful way. I seem to lack the ability completely. I can function socially and spend an entire evening with people with no issues. My social skills are fine but there’s no connection there. I have, over the course of my life, built walls to keep people out. They’re big and solid walls and when people try to chip away at them I go to a lot of trouble to put them back up. The end result is I don’t connect at all with people at any meaningful level. Hard to be in a relationship without any connection.

I have great friends and a good life, but the relationship just never came about for me. I’m a thirty year old woman who has had two boyfriends, neither of which lasted past two months. My friends say I’m attractive. But at this point, I’ve tried so many things, and have had so little success, that I think it’s pretty clear it is never going to happen for me. I wish it had worked.

Nearly 100% of the girls I do meet end up being in a long term relationship, engaged, married, or all of the above, with kids. I’m at that age.
