21 Reasons You’ll Be Forever Alone

The ones I like don’t like me back and I don’t like the ones who like me. Simple.

High standards, it takes a lot of effort to find someone, and I’m fairly isolated because of my job. I don’t think it matters so much as it used to, though. Many many more people in their 20s-35s are single now than in previous generations. Unfortunately the world is still built for pairs of people. Living alone is very expensive, eating out alone is still uncommon, and many adult activities are built around couples.

I just don’t want to be in a romantic relationship with someone. It certainly can be nice and a source of comfort and ease, but I like focusing on my own things, and I especially like doing things by myself.

My entire life I’ve always been the guy that women said things like this too: “I’m not interested but you’ll find the right person one day.” Heard it through my teens, twenties, thirties, forties, and now I’m almost 50. The most common reason I was always given is, I’m short.

21.

I’m fine with being alone. Interacting with others drains me.
