Being a girl is tough business. Society places ridiculous burdens on us that warp every aspect of our lives; gender roles, the pay gap, rape culture, and don't even get me started on f*ckboys.
That's why we must stick together — that's why we have girl code. There are just some unspoken rules to follow with your fellow sisters. Like — “thou shalt always tell another girl if she is leaking menstrual blood through her pants” & “never try to sell your friends stupid and unnecessary makeup on Facebook.”
Girl code means always having someone to fall back on, lending out a tampon in a public restroom no questions asked, and looking out for your BFF when some bro named Chad creeps hard on her at the bar. Guys may never know the mysterious laws of womanhood, but it keeps us stronger that ever.
