Losing weight can be one hell of a b*tch. That, compounded with America’s obsession with fast food, high calorie sweets, and lack of physical activity, means that there are more and more people walking around with a little (or a lot of) extra weight.
Another truth of America? People can be absolute d*cks when it comes to judging another person’s appearance — especially when it comes to weight. I mean, obviously a stranger who knows nothing about your health or background or socioeconomic standing or mentality knows WAY MORE than you do about YOUR body. DUH!
But really, behind closed doors, when people get behind the safety of their keyboard on the World Wide Web, they can unleash their judgmental fury onto those with a higher BMI. Some feel utter disgust while others feel sympathy and encouragement. Or they might not give one single sh*t about what another person looks like because it’s none of their business and they have better things to do with their time. Who woulda’ thunk?
