War can break people. It disrupts families and environments and one's mental health no matter what side a person falls on. For soldiers, witnessing all of the devastating rubble and death is just another day while deployed, but when they return home, the nightmare of war lingers on.
For some soldiers, it's the loss of a best friend while in combat together that weighs them down irrevocably. For others, the loud memories of gunfire and the tense silence of waiting remains etched in their memories forever.
