23 Worst Things That Have Happened In A Movie Theater

9.

Went to see “Finding Dory.” Only people in the theater were my SO & I, another older couple with their kid, & a group of 4 teens in the back. Anytime the movie showed Dory, one of the teens would yell “FOUND HER!” with the entourage chuckling at their hysterical joke. Eventually the man of the older couple told the group to please be quiet. They all stand up & start harassing the couple. Telling them that they are going to rape their kid & force him to watch. Next thing I know, the dad flung himself over the seat & a 4-on-1 brawl began. My SO & I ran out of the theater to get help. All 7 of them (teens, parents & kid) were escorted out of the facility even though it was the teens who instigated the whole thing.

Large group of teenage girls came into the movie late, sat in the front few rows, and talked for the entire time they were there. 1/2 way through the movie, one of the teenage girls gets up, walks in front of the group (aka standing directly under the screen), & starts taking pictures of the group with the flash on. She gets about 5-8 pictures in before a small mob of people storm down from the back rows & start screaming in her face.

Experiencing “the crawler.” Someone crawling under the seats to steal from people’s purses.

I went to see Dunkirk and the woman in the seat in front of me kept taking pictures of the screen and uploading them to her Instagram story. She was also sharing the same photos in some group chat. After observing this three or four times, I finally spoke up and told her to put the phone away. This was a grown ass woman in her 20s. If you can’t take a break from social media for two hours, you’ve got serious issues.
